Sundeep Misra: After a masters in Medieval Indian history, I opted for sports writing. A couple of tennis tournaments later, I got my first international hockey assignment - the 1990 World Cup in Lahore. The hockey bug had well and truly bitten me. Four World Cup's, Three Olympic Games and innumerable international and national tournaments later, I do feel that as a journalist one needs to give back to the game that gives one so much pleasure. At the moment, apart from running the website, I am writing an un-authorised biography of Dhanraj Pillay, one of the greatest players India has produced. There are two more books after Dhanraj - one is a compilation of the ten best matches that India has played in the international arena. And a history of the Adivasis and their contribution to Indian hockey.
Jagdev Singh: A management passout in 1997, I joined a webdesigning firm in June 1997. Handled the web marketing operations in the area of conceptualisation and development of websites. During this period of 2 years I received hands on experience in web designing and promotion. In May 1999, I met Sundeep and that was the birth of India's first dedicated hockey site on the net. We were lucky to get the right domain i.e. indianhockey.com. Ever since there has been no looking back. Hockey lovers worldwide hook on to indianhockey.com every day and we at indianhockey hope to rejuvinate the charisma of Indian hockey for the world to watch. We are dedicated to provide the 'latest ... the fastest'.
