Overcoming some anxious moments in the second half, the Indian hockey team beat Belgium 6-4 in the Azlan Shah hockey cup on Monday. Showing improved spirit and confident attitude, the team which beat Canada yesterday scored its second victory in the tournament.
Indians, who led the first half 5-1, due to some accurate penalty strokes by Sandeep and Sunil, had to face a resurrected Belgiums in the second half, when they yielded as many as three goals in a row to take the score to 5-4. But finally they managed to seal the victory by scoring another goal to make it 6-4 with three minutes to go. India got 3 points raising its tally to 6.
