Chennai: A "shocked" K Jothikumaran today termed as "undemocratic" Indian Olympic Association's decision of suspending IHF and even alleged that the IOA did not invite him to attend the executive committee meeting.

"I am shocked and aggrieved at the undemocratic decision taken by the IOA in sacking me and the President of the IHF," Jothikumaran told PTI.

Jothikumaran, who resgined as Secretary General of the IHF following a sting operation showing him puportedly accepting bribe, said the decision to suspend IHF without listening to him was "illegal."

"Taking into account that I was not invited nor I was issued with a show cause notice and not having heard my stand on whatever the issues that they discussed today, the IOA's decision is illegal and the principal of natural justice has been violated," he said.

Jothikumaran alleged that no official from the IOA contacted him for the meeting. "Mr Suresh Kalmadi had gone on record saying that I was not present to explain despite having been invited. It is totally false.

"I had not been invited for the EC meeting despite the IOA having my telephone numbers mobile and email addresses. There was not even a telephonic message asking me to attend the EC meeting," he said.

Jothikumaran said he was denied a chance to explain his position.
"I have resigned from the IHF until I am cleared of the issue but I continue to be a EC member of the IOA. I was not issued with any show cause notice or asked to give my stand in writing by the IOA," he said.

Mr. Jothikumarn, why are you shocked knowing that, what goes around that comes around. We have seen careers destroyed by IHF. If you remember you or your boss fired Rajinder coach when team was just about to participate in Olympics, I hope you have not forgotten. I have not seen anywhere when team is winning and then there are drastic changes in team. You have destroyed career after career Len, Gagan come to mind immediately. You may be innocent but you knew that rumors of your misdeeds were in air as a person with no contact even I heard numerous rumors here in US about money embezzlement done by IHF. In this world as before we have seen in cases like this that one is guilty unless one proves his or her innocence. It does not matter now that what you thought when they concocted the whole drama but it is up to you to prove to world that you are innocent. Same way Rajinder was termed as guilty when he was kicked out in disgrace and team ultimately paid heavily in terms of prestige that after such a promising start we have not recovered. Either be a man enough to own all misdeeds or fight and if you do not do any thing then you will be guilty as charged.

Look who is talking.....Mr Jothikumaran .....the bloke who tarnished the Indian hockey and does not know a single thing about the game. We once boasted of legendary players like Major Dhyanchand and felt proud but thanks to him and mr. Gill ...we are now staring at a bleak future.

Alls well if it ends well......so Mr Jothikumaran....may ur soul rest in peace!
